Pink, on the other hand urges Say to rejoin the troops, as he plans to fight for his freedom. While Moe Moe Bay nurses him back to health, Pink and Say get to know one another, and Say begins to have misgivings about going back to war. Pinkus Aylee, or Pink as he is known to his family and friends, stays behind to help Say get to Pink’s mother’s (known as Moe Moe Bay) house to recuperate and to escape the marauders and the Confederate soldiers. Sheldon, or Say as he is known to his family and friends, has been shot in the leg. ![]() This “for everyone” picture book revolves around the friendship of two young Union soldiers during the Civil War. ![]()
